Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start Date:
February 23, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week,
every other weekend required Highlights: General Medical/Surgical
unit with adult and geriatric patient population; daily census
approximately 43 patients Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7; charge
role required for night shift travelers Epic charting system with
Pyxis medication management; 24 hours of paid orientation provided
Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks available; holiday coverage and
inclement weather team participation required Experience with
insulin and heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and
high-flow oxygen required Floating to similar units may be required
based on facility needs Requirements: Active North Carolina or
Compact state RN license Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical
nursing experience Epic charting experience strongly preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Proficiency
in managing insulin and heparin drips, peripheral line care, wound
care/wound vac, and high-flow nasal cannula Ability to interpret
and manage dysrhythmias Previous charge nurse experience preferred
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred Flu
vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Must be
comfortable caring for patients requiring isolation precautions and
