Ability to maintain the highest standard is required with zero tolerance.All the primary duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center.JOB SUMMARY:The Solution Architect provides technical leadership and consulting to design and implement enterprise solutions that support core operational and organizational functions and assure their high availability. The Solution Architect works closely with the business staff, technical engineering staff, Security staff, and other Solution Architects, translating business requirements and technical requirements. The Solution Architect serves as the subject matter expert and technical lead in at least one of the following areas: Data Center Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure, Networking, Application infrastructure, Identity Access Management, Cybersecurity Threat, and/or IT Security Governance.PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:* A technical lead and mentor for at least one of the teams within the Information Services department.* Ensure that proposed and existing solution architectures are aligned and driven with organizational business goals and objectives and that requirements driving overall solution architectures are managed consistently and effectively.3. Develop and maintain a security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and cybersecurity threat drivers.4. Develop and maintain architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards, and workflows) that can be used to leverage security, application, and technology capabilities in projects and operations.5. Work closely with the IS Leadership to develop strategic plans and roadmaps based on sound enterprise architecture practices.* Assess risk factors and limitations of current systems, and identify areas of opportunity for mitigating these risks and limitations, and improving overall system efficiency and performance.* Conduct reviews of and oversee the change management function for technical teams.* Review technologies, tools, and services, and make recommendations to the Security team for their use based on security, financial and operational metrics.* Conduct incident response exercises with colleagues throughout the organization and incorporate lessons-learned into existing security architectures and practices.* Ensure all information systems technical configurations comply with NHRMC policies, HIPAA/HITECH, PCI, and other related state and federal regulations.* Provide technical leadership for information services staff, guides and mentor other staff members.* Assist with developing draft project plans for technology deployments, and coordinate with stakeholders across the organization.* Communicates effectively to provide optimal support of the organization's Information Technology needs in a manner that promotes a professional climate.* Translate complex information technology related matters into business terms that are readily understood by Leadership and line of business colleagues.* Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence* Troubleshoots problems with systems and applications as needed.* Effectively demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of the organization daily.ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS:1. Cybersecurity Threat- Solution Architect: Expert level competency in the areas of vulnerability management, data protection, networking security concepts, enterprise endpoint protection, threat intelligence and incident response. Expert level working knowledge of multiple security specific product solutions and best practices including: network vulnerability scanners, application vulnerability scanners, data encryption solutions, operating systems, web site filtering tools, endpoint protection systems, firewalls, Intrusion detection and prevention systems, Security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, and cloud security concepts. Strong understanding of endpoint forensics and strong working knowledge of OSI/TCP-IP models and related protocols and services. Must have implemented, in a lead technical role, an enterprise security solution.Licensure/Certifications: At least one advanced certification such as: CISSP, ISSAP, GCFA, GCIH, GCIA, GSEC, or GPEN is required.Reports to: Chief Information Security Officer2. Information Security Governance - Solution Architect: Expert level competency in the areas of security risk assessments and analysis, vendor security risk management, change management, HIPAA security rule, PCI/DSS, information security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity framework, ISO/IEC 27001 and 27002, and/or Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT). Strong working knowledge of information security policy and standard creation, operating system security, encryption, MS Active directory and group policy, application development principles and related security best practices. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must have experience in completing a formal enterprise security risk analysis and/or assessment.Licensure/Certifications: At least one advanced certification such as: CISSP, ISSAP, GCFA, GCIH, GCIA, GSEC, or GPEN is required.Reports to: Chief Information Security Officer.Education: Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or information security. Graduate degree in a related field preferred.Experience: Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience.
