  Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Oncology - 6S Medicine 48'sShift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12x4, 48 hrs per week, EOWLength: 13-26 weeksWill accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidaysCall required if called off on a prescheduled shiftRequirements:
  • NC License
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Skills: Administer chemo
  • Experience in an inpatient setting is required
  • Chemotherapy administration certification
  • BLS
  • Will cert for Chemo
  • CPI and Charge nurse experience preferredOther Details:
    • Will accept 1st time travelers

    • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty

Charge nurse experience.JOB DETAILS: will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patientsTarget Ratios: 1:6-7Shift:NIGHTS; Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as neededPATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.**Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.*** INTERNAL NOTES ******Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty***COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not RequiredFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions OnlyUnit: 106-10-6S Medicine - RNEpic Travel Staffing:
