  • Traveler Experience: Required UNLESS traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience
  • Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, Aortic stenosis/regurgitation, Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis, Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD PAD, Vasculitis, Carotid stenosis, Venous stasis, sheath management, sheath removal
  • SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, Carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, Amputations, Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery, Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures, Pacemaker placements
  • SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Arterial lines (not required), Doppler, Bladder scanner, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, Chest tubes, Epicardial Pacing Wires
  • UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

      • Schedule Information
      • Ratios: Varies per Acuity. Ratios are 1:4 for surgical step down, and 1:5-6 for lower acuity
      • Shift: NIGHT 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then OT billed until after 48. Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays
      • Float Requirement: Will follow unit rotation - not first to float
      • Weekend Requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible)
      • ** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
