Recycling SpecialistCoastal Carolina University is currently
accepting applications for the following position: Recycling
Specialist in Sustain Coastal.
Duties will include, but are not limited to: perform daily
recycling and composting collection, hauling and processing duties;
assist with recycling and compost collection, hauling, and
processing before, during, and after special events (e.g. athletic
events, performances, concerts, etc.); maintain collection bins,
equipment, and vehicles; report maintenance and supply needs; stock
and maintain supplies with consistency; promote and use best safety
practices; and perform other duties as assigned.Requirements: A
high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and experience in the
recycling or solid waste field is required. Two (2) years of
experience in recycling or solid waste is preferred. A valid
driver's license is required. A successful candidate must have
knowledge of good recycling practices and an understanding of the
products and equipment available. Must be able to operate power
equipment used in the collection and processing of recyclable and
compostable materials. Good communication and customer service
skills are required.

State Pay Band: 02. Salary range: $19,628.00 (minimum) to
$27,973.00 (midpoint). Primary work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 2:30
p.m. Monday through Friday. This position will require some weekend
work and you must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs
of the University.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in recycling or solid
waste field.
Preferred Qualifications
Two year's experience in the recycling or solid waste field
Required Licensure and/or Certification
Maintain a current drivers license.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of good recycling practices and an understanding of
products and equipment available. Must be able to operate power
equipment used in the collection and processing of recyclable and
compostable materials. Good communication and customer service
skills are required.
