  • Doing the Right ThingWhat you will be doing!As a Design Coordinator, you will be "hands-on" working closely with the homeowner, Project Manager and site superintendents managining the selection process to create beautiful homes for customers while maintaining a positive experience for everyone involved. You are responsible for direct customer service through design completion and client satisfaction.       • Homeowner exterior and interior selection meetings and gathering design ideas to incorporate
      • Schedule appointments with off-site vendors as needed and source materials
      • Homeowner selections into Builder Trend to be kept current and complete
      • Track homeowner selections, change orders and quotes on Builder Trend
      • Coordinate timing, scheduling, and delivery of home selections with project managers
      • Create Selection Books and Homeowner Companion Manuals for Homeowners
      • Maintain inventory and pricing levels of samples/materials
      • Submit Architectural Review Board documents or adjustments to permitting as needed
      • Schedule pre-construction meetings with homeowners and project managers
      • Assist Director of Construction, Project Manager or Procurement Manager with other projects on an as-needed basis
      • Work closely with Estimator, PM and Superintendents on all projects to ensure timely deliverables for meeting project schedules and budgets
      • Administrative Tasks
      • Procure samples of materials
      • Input selections into Builder Trend
      • Submit pricing requests to subs and vendor and follow up on pricing. Work with Procurement on sourcing if necessary
      • Alert homeowners when pricing is ready for review and approval
      • Help derive selection allowances for contracts in accordance with budget and design desires
      • Follow up on upgrade approval statuses with homeowners and derive Change order or allowance difference pricing
      • Track down selections and overages from vendors the homeowner meets with outside of the Design Gallery including electrical, trim, and landscaping
      • Request and track payments for upgrades
      • Review pricing for closing documents and budgetary analysis.Experience and Training
        • Previous experience in interior design or the home building industry
        • Associates or Bachelor Degree required
        • Computer skills:
          • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
          • Experience with construction software a plus (I.E. BuilderTrend, ProCore, CoConstruct, etc)
          • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit or other design software.
          • Ability to interact across a multitude of internet and social media platforms to interact with customers (I.E. Houzz, Pinterest, Instagram, etc)Skills
            • Detail oriented and organized
            • Self-starter
            • Professional attire and attitude
            • Excellent customer service skills
            • Ability to visualize the homeowner's design style in order to assist them in the design and selection process of finishes.
            • Ability to present designs in a visually appealing and clear format so homeowner can fully understand their options
            • Ability to communicate efficiently with homeowners, trade partners, and field personnelSOCO
