Primary role:As a HR Compensation Specialist, you will play a key role in helping to analyze and assess the company's overall compensation and benefits structure to ensure consistency and competitiveness in comparison to the market and industry averages. You will also be responsible to assist in workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, employee relations, retention, career development and leadership development. You must understand business priorities and translate them into a plan that supports our growing business, unique culture and company values.
Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership team to assess, design and deliver solutions needed to optimize workforce compensation planning to scale and remain competitive with the current and future talent market to include, succession planning and performance management
  • Advocate for employee related questions to include policies, procedures, systems, benefits, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations when needed
  • Help build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues, ensuring a balance in representing all parties' interests by actively partnering and supporting leadership team members, managers, and individuals
  • Ensure relevant HR operational and administrative activities are carried-out in adherence to universal standards
  • Partner with broader HR team colleagues across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Organization Development to ensure employee and leadership needs are met and high performing teams are sustained
  • Maintain positive relationships with managers and employees to promote our culture of open communication. Uphold open communication with team members in all departments and at all levels
  • Develop a deep understanding of different departments, their situations, and, most importantly, their needs to better develop mutually defined solutions to problems
  • Review and analyze goals and metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve individual and team performance, retention, and employee experience
  • Develop, communicate and maintain HR policies, procedures and processes in compliance with federal and state laws. Align HR policies and practices with business objectives
  • Communicate and assist with benefit plan changes to employees
  • Facilitate the delivery of HR programs and services to support the business objectives in partnership with HR team leaders and staff. Support implementation of corporate initiatives requiring HR knowledge and skills
  • Other duties assigned
    Requirements:
    • BS/BA degree in human resources, business, social science, or related field required.
    • 1 - 3 years' experience in a similar role with comparable goals/ responsibilities.
    • 1 - 3 years 'Experience in market compensation analysis and career succession planning.
    • General knowledge in employee relations, HR Operations, benefits, organizational development, performance management, and employee communications.
    • Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations (ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA) and the ability to appropriately spot employment risk issues.
    • Customer focus and consulting skills - ability to influence culture and create alignment between business goals, behaviors, and HR programs that drive performance.
    • HRIS/ HCM, Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills including the development of presentations and management reports. Experience with Ultimate is a plus.
