full-time DAY This position has access to and knowledge of extremely sensitive, private and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest standard is required with zero tolerance. All the primary duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. JOB SUMMARY: The Coordinator works under the direction of the Manager, Director or Designated Leader. Manages daily clinic, personnel, and departmental operations. Regularly performs the job duties of a registered nurse to include all aspects of the nursing process. Is accountable for assuring quality outcomes and appropriate resource consumption. The coordinator will complete primary job duties based on the needs of the Department and the Manager. The RN provides care based on established standards of care and expectations. See www.ncbon.com & www.nursingworld.org. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 1. Responsible for satellite office operations, ensuring that policies, practices, procedures, and standards are followed in providing care. 2. Responsible for assisting in insuring the cardiac imaging nuclear is in compliance with all accrediting agencies, State and National Regulations. 3. Works in clinic and via telephone to provide patient care utilizing critical thinking skills with the nursing process. Performs nursing assessments to gather data and identify the patient's needs for this episode of care per ANA standards and NCBON. 4. Organizes tasks, coordinates workflow pattern and the daily functions of satellite offices. 5. May review Kronos daily as delegated by department Manager. 6. Provides input for the development of departmental budgets. 7. Facilitates Standardization of processes through out Cape Fear Heart Associates and Nuclear Imaging. 8. Facilitates maximum efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of quality care through review of test results and implementation of appropriate quality control and preventive maintenance procedures and performance improvement monitors. Includes observation of other staff to determine competency in performance of specific tasks. 9. Provides education to staff, tracks adherence of all mandatory education and assists with staff development. 10. May assist with performance appraisals and/or middle performer conversations as directed by the management team. 11. Coaches/Counsels and recognizes staff for job performance. Gives input and tracks employees through 30 and 90 day periods. 12. Utilizes disciplinary action process following discussion with manager. 13. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and completes audits. 14. Maintains professional accountability by participating in in-services, committees, and staffing needs. 15. Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence. 16. Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, either through an ADN, Diploma or BSN program. 2. Licensure/Certifications: Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of North Carolina. American Heart association ACLS required. Must maintain the annual required CEU's as defined by NCBON. Additional hours may be required by the unit or department. 3. Experience: 3 years in clinical setting required.
