behavioral health program with a focus on addiction psychiatry and
addiction medicine. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient
and outpatient care, along with meaningful opportunities in
teaching and program development. Position Highlights Academic
appointment with affiliated medical school Mix of inpatient and
outpatient responsibilities Monday-Friday schedule (8 AM - 5 PM)
Phone-only call with residents taking first call Practice
Environment Work across: Large academic medical center New 144-bed
behavioral health hospital Expanding behavioral health services
across the region Planned dedicated addiction treatment space
(50,000+ sq ft) Clinical Support Multidisciplinary team environment
including: Psychiatrists Residents and medical students Behavioral
health specialists Large referral network covering 29 counties (
1.4M population) Integrated academic and clinical infrastructure
Academic Responsibilities Supervise: Psychiatry residents Addiction
medicine trainees Teach medical students Participate in program

Qualifications MD or DO Completion of Psychiatry, Med-Psych, or
FM-Psych residency Board Certified / Board Eligible in Addiction
Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine DATA 2000 waiver (or eligibility)
for buprenorphine prescribing Eligible for North Carolina medical
