nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in
Wilmington, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements -

12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum
of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required.
Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for
extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment.
$750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n Registered Nurse -
PACU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to
7:00 PM /n• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios /n• Call requirement once
every four weeks /n• Variable weekend requirements /n• Maximum 7
days RTO allowed /n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays /n• Float
to areas of overflow patients, typically surgical short stay unit
/n• May recover surgical patients in ICU setting /n• Required
certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS /n• Minimum 2 years of experience
and travel experience required /n• Must have ICU experience (Phase
1-2 PACU with ICU background) /n• Navy scrubs required /n• Work
with specialized equipment including cardiac monitors, arterial
lines, ICP monitoring, dopplers, fetal heart monitors, wound vacs
/n• Use EPIC documentation system and Pyxis medication system /n•
Provide care for patients recovering from various surgical
procedures including vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics,
gynecology, urology, general surgery, bariatrics, plastics, ENT,
ophthalmology, and pediatrics /n• Recovery times typically 30 to 90
minutes depending on patient criteria for discharge /n• Contract
staff expected to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during
catastrophic events /n• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or
more than 60 hours per week per fatigue policy /n• Complete 8-10
hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually /n/n Facility:
/n This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive Phase 1
Recovery Unit providing observation and care for patients who have
undergone surgical procedures requiring anesthesia. The facility
receives patients directly from the OR, EP Lab, Endoscopy,
Interventional Radiology, MRI, and ICU patients needing recovery
before unit admission. The PACU operates 24/7 with a varied and
challenging practice environment, featuring 26 beds across 4 rooms
with a daily census of 75-100 patients. The unit provides
interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy,
respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response
