Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North
Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current
nursing license required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: EPIC
experience required; must be able to manage insulin and heparin
drips Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be
negotiated on-site. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may
lead to a potential cancellation. Travelers must be able to work
during holidays. There is a possibility of caring for COVID
patients. Travelers will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.
Charge nurse experience is required for night travelers. The unit
handles adults and geriatric patients with general medical/surgical
needs. Daily census averages around 43 patients. Patient ratios are
typically 1:6-7. Mandatory weekend shifts will be assigned every
other weekend. Additional floating to similar units may occur based
on needs. Call requirements may be necessary if assigned a
prescheduled shift. Special procedures on the unit include insulin
drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high flow
oxygen support. No PCU level patients are managed on this unit.
Travelers must be comfortable with the possibility of working
during extreme weather events or disasters. Patients may include
those requiring wound care and other general medical/surgical
management. Staffing support includes interdisciplinary teams for
various patient care needs. Candidates must be able to work a
combination of 36 or 48 hours per week, with expectations for
holiday coverage. Travelers cannot work more than 5 consecutive
