Experience: Minimum of 5 years License: NC or Compact license
required Certifications: ARRT N, CNMT Must-Have: Previous charge
experience preferred. Traveler experience required. Unit does not
accept first-time travelers. Description: The role requires a
minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in adult,
clinic, hospital, nuclear cardiology, and pediatrics settings is
essential. Familiarity with Siemens equipment is required.
Candidates should have skills in performing gastric emptying
studies, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, and bone scans. Experience with
brain scans, liver imaging, and lung scans is necessary. Ability to
conduct renal perfusion studies and thyroid studies is important.
Familiarity with SPECT procedures for bone, brain, liver, and renal
scans is required. Myocardial perfusion studies including adenosine
infusion and exercise/rest protocols are also necessary.
Professional knowledge in drawing venous blood, isolation
precautions, and starting/maintaining IVs is essential. Candidates
should be knowledgeable about the storage, handling, and disposal
of radioactive materials. Weekly patient ratio will be 1:4 during
the day shift. The unit requires rotating nights for call
requirements. Weekend duty will be every third weekend.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services,
interpretation services, phlebotomy, and radiology. Documentation
and communication will be managed through an electronic system.
Candidates must be adaptable to floating within the facility based
on patient needs. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on
different units. Fatigue policy includes limits on consecutive
workdays and total hours worked per week. Modules must be completed
prior to starting the position and are required annually.
