School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contracted
School Psychologist position is available for the 2026-2027 school
year in Swansboro, NC, serving local schools through a partnership
with a therapy services provider. This role supports the cognitive,
social, behavioral, and emotional development of students by
providing comprehensive psychological services within a school
setting. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate learning while promoting
students cognitive, functional, social, and personal growth.
Identify and assess students' learning, developmental, behavioral,
functional, and mental health needs. Develop tailored interventions
and programs informed by assessment data and environmental factors.
Collaborate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of
programs that support student progress. Provide consultation to
parents, educators, and community agencies to enhance student
development. Participate actively as an IEP team member and support
capacity building among school exceptional children staff. Apply
ethical standards and comply with laws and policies governing
school psychological practice. Maintain clear, timely communication
with students, parents, and school personnel. Keep accurate records
and adhere to required timelines and standards. Engage in ongoing
professional development and organization participation.
Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina
educators license as a School Psychologist. Ability to stand, sit,
or walk for extended periods; capable of lifting up to 30 pounds
occasionally. Physical ability to support emergency evacuations,
therapeutic interventions, and work in a busy environment.
Effective communication skills, both visual and auditory. Valid
drivers license and ability to travel between school sites. This is
a 10-month exempt contract position aligned with the North Carolina
School Psychologist salary schedule. Candidates ready to contribute
