Registered Nurse (RN) | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,780 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: ICU experience Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Candidates may recover surgical patients in the ICU setting. Minimum two years of experience required. Traveler experience is necessary. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. Candidates must have experience in Phase 1-2 PACU and some ICU experience. Candidates will not float to the ICU but will manage this level of care in PACU. The unit may send a PACU RN to recover patients in STICU. Charge nurse experience, conscious sedation, telemetry, vents, and pediatric experience are preferred. Ratios of patient care are 1:2. RTO is a maximum of 7 days. Call requirement is once every four weeks. Candidates may be required to float to overflow areas. Weekend requirements vary. Contract staff will be assigned to work on Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster. Special procedures include recovery of patients who have undergone surgical procedures requiring anesthesia. Recovery may take 30 to 90 minutes, depending on patient discharge criteria. Overnight patients may include those from tower or ICU. Unit equipment includes cardiac monitors, arterial lines, and SCD pumps. Documentation systems include Pyxis and EPIC. Candidates must be comfortable floating based on job description with no restrictions. Travel pairs are allowed but must be submitted and work on different units. Charting experience is required, particularly with EPIC. References from recent employment are preferred. Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week.
