ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM • 36 or 48 hours per week accepted • Patient ratio of 1:6-7 • Charge role required for night travelers • Contract length 13-26 weeks accepted • Every other weekend requirement • Must be able to work holidays and work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Call required if put on prescheduled call shift • Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients • May be assigned to Incidental Weather Team and Storm/Hurricane Team • 24 hours of orientation required • Navy scrubs required (not provided) • Minimum 2 years of experience required • Unit will accept first-time travelers • EPIC experience required • Must be able to manage insulin and heparin drips • Required certifications: BCLS • Preferred: CPI certification and charge nurse experience • Must pass EKG testing prior to start • Care for adults and geriatrics with general Med/Surg diagnoses • Daily census approximately 43 patients • Handle wound vac dressing changes, high flow oxygen, and occasional short-term BiPap • Maximum 7 days RTO allowed • Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing acute care services to the community.
