Job Description Job Description Position Summary We're Looking
for OTR/L and COTAs for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Contractor
Employment! Provide evidence-based pediatric occupational therapy
services to children in clinic, community, school, home, and/or
telehealth settings Support developmental, sensory-motor, and
functional skill acquisition to promote participation in daily
activities Clinical Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive
evaluations using standardized, criterion-referenced, and clinical
observation-based assessments Develop individualized treatment
plans based on evaluation findings, caregiver goals, and
best-practice clinical reasoning Provide direct 1:1 OT intervention
focused on areas such as fine-motor skills, sensory processing,
motor planning, handwriting, ADLs, feeding, executive functioning,
and social participation Monitor client progress and adjust
treatment plans as needed Educate caregivers on home programs,
carry-over strategies, and environmental modifications Collaborate
with interdisciplinary team members (SLP, PT, teachers, physicians,
psychologists, etc.) Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate,
timely documentation in compliance with state licensing, payer
requirements, and company standards Maintain HIPAA compliance and
uphold ethical practice standards Participate in goal-setting,
progress reports, re-evaluations, and discharge planning Maintain
professional licensure, continuing education, and credentialing
requirements (e.g., NPI, CAQH, payor enrollment) Professional &
Workplace Expectations Demonstrate excellent communication,
professionalism, and family-centered care Participate in staff
meetings, trainings, and company development initiatives Support a
positive, collaborative clinical culture aligned with the mission
and values of Building Blocks Therapy Group PLLC Maintain a safe
and organized treatment area and materials Preferred
Skills/Experience Pediatric clinical experience (outpatient,
schools, EI, or specialty pediatrics) Knowledge of
sensory-integration, motor-learning, neurodevelopmental and
trauma-informed approaches Experience with billing, documentation
systems, or private practice settings Feeding and/or SOS
certification is a bonus (not required) Required Qualifications
Active or eligible North Carolina License for OTR/L or COTA (or
eligibility prior to start date) Valid driver’s license and ability
to travel to client locations if required
