Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $1,836 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Job Opportunity – ED Holding Support RN – North Carolina Start Date: March 23, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required Highlights: Emergency Department holding unit supporting patients awaiting inpatient bed placement with varied medical/surgical diagnoses Target ratios of 1:7 for MS/Tele patients or 1:4 for PCU level patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Float pool position with flexibility to ED, MedSurg, and other areas based on census and clinical needs 13-week contract with 12-hour orientation and Epic charting system Collaborative interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services Maximum 7 days requested time off; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Requirements: Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry settings Current North Carolina or Compact State RN license (must be active by start date) BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred Must pass EKG testing prior to start date Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management, phlebotomy, insulin and heparin protocols, colostomy and feeding tube care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy management, and isolation precautions Preferred skills: IV insulin protocols, pre/post hemodialysis management, port access, central line blood draws, IV starts, CVA care, neuro surgery support, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury experience, ortho trauma, total joint replacements, and wound vac management Epic charting experience preferred Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Must be comfortable floating to multiple units based on clinical skills and facility census Why It's a Great Opportunity: This dynamic ED holding support role offers the chance to care for a diverse patient population in a challenging, fast-paced environment where your critical thinking and adaptability will shine.
