Private Duty Nurses - LPN/RN in Hampstead, NC to cover shifts on
Mondays & Fridays from 9am-7pm or 8:30AM-6:30PM Avid Health

JOIN OUR TEAM! Avid is hiring LPNs and RNs as Private Duty Nurses
to provide exceptional care to a variety of medically fragile adult
and pediatric clients in need of complex treatment, in their homes.
Our services include Complex medical needs such as frequent
seizures, Tracheostomy and/or ventilator-dependent, Nutritional
feeds through a G-tube (PEG & Mickey), Intravenous nutrition,
Oxygen-dependent with other medical needs, and Peritoneal dialysis.
We have a stable client census with consistent assignments and
hours, offering you the ability to work one on one with patients
and their caregivers long-term. LPN-RN In-Home Private Duty Nurse
Responsibilities: Evaluates and treats clients with appropriate
level of skill according to client’s needs under the supervision of
an RN, Clinical Manager. Assist with providing continuity of care
and emotional needs of client and family. Resourceful in meeting
client’s psychosocial needs. Verbal demonstration of client rights
and responsibilities. Make decisions based on sound nursing
judgements. Recognizes and copes with emergencies appropriately.
Ensures proper management of client services. Demonstrates
competent use of equipment. Appropriately communicates information
relative to client care in accordance with agency policies.
Observes the client’s general physical, emotional, and mental
status, and reports all changes in the client’s conditions, family
situation, incident, and occurrences during shift immediately to
agency RN/CM or Customer Care Coordinator. Ensure all forms of
communication with clients, families, and health plan providers are
documented timely to promote continuity of care across all
interdepartmental functions. Build relationships with clients to
encourage compliance with care plans and client safety. Maintains
accurate clinical and shift work documentations to update system in
accordance with guidelines set forth by the agency in a
comprehensive and timely manner. Manage client/contract
satisfaction with the highest level of customer service standards,
communication, and documentation. Adheres to infection control
policies and exposure control plan as mandated. Monitor and
maintain clinical report, including Infection and
Occurrence/Complaint Reports. Adheres to and promotes safety and
injury prevention measures in client and workplace settings.
Maintain and improve skills through attendance with staff
development programs and in-service education requirements.
Participate in community outreach activities that promote the goals
and objectives of the agency. Maintain Confidentiality in all
professional areas and consider the needs of clients and their
families, other employees, physicians, visitors, and all members of
the community in an informative, courteous, and compassionate
manner. Ensure all HIPAA regulations are adhered to. Follow Agency
Policies and Procedures All other duties as assigned.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Active, Unencumbered
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of North
Carolina (NCBON) CPR Certification Valid driver’s license, and auto
insurance coverage Open to new graduates and those re-entering the
workforce! Other Skills/Requirements: Must be customer service
oriented and prepared to liaise with clients, their families and
other care providers. Confident working independently Effective
communication skills, both verbal and written Willingness to
