Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (Full Time, Days) $10,000 Sign-On Bonus $30 to $40 per hour Minutes from North Myrtle Beach, SC New Grads are welcome to apply Job Summary Our growing, locally owned and managed, not-for-profit health system is looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist to support safe, efficient surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile operating room environment and assisting the surgical team throughout all phases of care. This role works under the supervision of a surgeon to ensure proper setup, instrumentation, patient positioning, and adherence to sterile technique in an acute care hospital setting. Key Responsibilities Maintain professionalism and positive customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers Prepare operating rooms, supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures Ensure availability and readiness of sterile instruments, sutures, and equipment Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and draping Establish and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures Perform initial and ongoing instrument, sponge, and sharps counts with circulator Participate in patient and surgical site verification (time-out) Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies during procedures Prepare and properly handle surgical specimens Assist with lifting, turning, and positioning patients using proper body mechanics Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization Assist with terminal cleaning of the operating room Follow standard precautions and use appropriate PPE at all times Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Must be flexible, punctual, and willing to learn in the surgical environment New graduates welcome to apply Licenses & Certifications Certified by the NBSTSA required Basic Life Support (BLS) required
