Certifications: Oncology Certified Nurse (ONC), BLS, Chemo
Certification (ONS/ONCC) Must-Have: - Experience in an inpatient
setting - Med/Surg experience - Colostomy care - Accessing ports -
Blood product administration - Central line blood draw - Peripheral
line care/management - PICC line management - Heparin and insulin
administration - Surgical drains - Chest tubes - Non-invasive
airway management - Wound care/wound vac - Isolation precautions
Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Additional call-offs
or RTO requests could result in cancellation. Manager is seeking
skilled RNs for the medical-surgical/oncology unit. Traveler
experience is accepted but preferred candidates will have Med/Surg
experience. Target nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:6. Patients
primarily include general medical-surgical with oncology histories.
Call is required if scheduled for a shift and subsequently called
off. Floating between similar units may be necessary based on
patient census. Every other weekend work is required. Contract
staff will need to be prepared to work during emergencies and
disasters. The daily census may reach 42 patients. Increased census
may lead to higher nurse-to-patient ratios. Attendance at monthly
staff meetings is expected. Interdisciplinary support includes
various medical services. Chemotherapy administration may be
required based on patient needs. Assignments could include dealing
with diverse medical diagnoses including AKI, sepsis, and
cancer-related issues. Candidates must comply with floating
requirements to provide adequate patient care. Travel pairs are
permitted but must work on different units. Charting experience in
Epic is preferred. References are preferred from recent managerial
roles. Candidates cannot work more than five consecutive days or 60
