Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR Job Details: • Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM in a 4x10 schedule Monday through Friday • Maintain 1:1 patient ratios • On-call requirements include 2 days per week and every third weekend for an average of 14 call days per 6-week schedule • May work up to 5 days if called in on weekend • Float to main OR on same campus when no volume in CVOR • Must have minimum 2 years of experience with CVOR experience required • ECMO and Impella experience required • BLS certification required; ACLS and Level 1 trauma experience preferred • Preferred proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases • Epic charting system experience preferred • Blue scrubs provided by facility • 24-hour unit orientation required • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Aortic Dissection, TAVR, laser lead extractions, aortic root, carotids, thoracic cases, pericardial window, ECMO, and Impella • Work with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation • Must be available for Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events • Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week per fatigue policy • Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized cardiovascular operating room with 3 rooms and handles approximately 6 cases per day. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac and thoracic surgical services with advanced technology including ECMO and Impella support.
