Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN
Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN
Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift:
12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Minimum Years of
Experience: 2 year Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time
travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Required
Certifications: TRAVELER MUST HAVE ONC CERT! Traveler must be able
to administer chemo if needed. BLS Preferred Certifications: CPI.
Charge nurse experience, OCN Required Skills: Experience in an
inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing
Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw,
Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin,
Insulin, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal
Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions,
Wound Care/Wound Vac Shift: NIGHTS 13-26 weeks accepted Call
Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift
Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate
care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding
in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location Weekend
Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED Contract staff will be
assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team
Contract staff may be required to report to work during a
catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster Consolidation to the
Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff
may be preassigned to units as needed NC or Compact license pending
OK for submission. Required in hand at time of start Scrubs: Navy
Blue and white RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed
to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit,
could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR Fatigue Policy: Travelers
cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in
a week ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Target Ratios: 1:6 Must pass EKG Testing
prior to start for this specialty COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required
