Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Wilmington, North
Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License:
Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
preferred Must-Have: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
required. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote
monitoring required. Experience with pre/post cardiac
catheterization, pre/post cardiac surgery, and sheath removal
required. Skills in accessing ports, blood product administration,
central line care management, and PICC line management required.
Experience with cardiac drip titration for Diltiazem and Amiodarone
is required. Description: This position requires floating as
needed, with the potential to float every shift. Contract includes
a patient ratio of 1:6-7. Working hours are 36 hours per week.
Contract staff may be assigned to work during a catastrophic event,
mass casualty, or disaster. Contract staff should expect to work
5-6 weekend shifts every other weekend. Unit patients include those
with congestive heart failure and arrhythmias, as well as
post-cardiac catheterization patients. Unit responsibilities
include monitoring cardiac patients and administering cardiac drips
such as Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine.
Special procedures include sheath pulls and TR Bands. Unit systems
include medication, documentation, and communication applications.
All candidates are required to undergo EKG testing prior to start.
Interview with management is required before finalizing offers.
Adherence to a call-off policy is strongly enforced. Fatigue policy
states that employees cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or
60 hours per week. Candidates may float within the hospital or to
nearby facilities based on patient needs. Successful candidates
