Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist – North Carolina Start Date: January 26, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:15 - 16:45), Monday through Friday with call requirements Highlights: Specialized cardiovascular operating room experience with advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissections, and TAVR Comprehensive case mix including ECMO, Impella, laser lead extractions, carotid procedures, and thoracic cases 1:1 patient ratio ensuring focused, quality patient care Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation Call requirement: 2 days per week and every third weekend, averaging 14 call days per 6-week schedule May float to main OR on same campus based on volume needs Requirements: Minimum 2 years of CVOR surgical technologist experience required ECMO and Impella experience required BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Level 1 trauma experience preferred Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred but not required North Carolina or Compact state license required at time of start Epic charting experience preferred Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a comprehensive cardiovascular surgical program featuring advanced procedures and cutting-edge technology.
