Job Description:
What We Offer: Novant Health is hiring a registered nurse for
the day shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location
in Wilmington, NC. We are seeking current or previous travel nurses
who have worked with Novant Health who are interested in joining
our 90 Day Temporary Assignment Program in the effort to convert to
a permanent position after the assignment is completed. - Schedule:
PRN, 0.1 FTE, Day Shift, 7am – 7pm. Will be assigned a three
12-hour shift rotation every week for 13 weeks (about 90 days). -
Department: Centralized Nursing Resources - Benefits: This is a
non-benefit eligible position for 90 days, at which point you can
convert to a full-time team member and be eligible for employee
benefits and any sign-on and/or relocation bonus approved by the

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - Associate's
or Bachelor's degree in nursing. - Current valid North Carolina
nursing license required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) through
American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. - One
consecutive year within defined specialty preferred. - Current /
previous employment as a travel nurse working with Novant Health.

nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years
or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the
last five years, successful completion of a Board approved
refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating
your license. In order to be considered for current licensure
status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of
completing the refresher course. What You'll Do: - Demonstrate
refined assessment skills to understand patient's story,
integrating subjective and objective data, physical and
psychosocial components, preferences, and learning needs. Utilize
ongoing data interpretation to determine immediate and future care
needs. - Engage in dialogue with patients/support systems to
identify preferences, incorporate them into care plans, and involve
interdisciplinary teams. Establish realistic short and long-term
goals, prioritizing interventions for optimal health outcomes. -
Act with patient advocacy at the core, collaborating with
healthcare teams to educate patients/support systems. Administer
and evaluate medication therapies, perform nursing interventions,
and adapt care plans as needed. - Continuously assess patient
progress toward goals, seeking input from patients/support systems
and modifying care plans accordingly. - Effectively communicate
care plans and progress to all team members, utilizing appropriate
tools like SBARQ. Ensure timely documentation of relevant
information. - Appropriately delegate tasks while ensuring patient
safety and considering task nature and delegate competence. Hold
self and others accountable for optimal role performance.
