Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry Job Details - Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry - Location: Wilmington, NC 28401 (North Carolina travel nursing jobs) - Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Medical Telemetry Unit - Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700 - $1750 - Patient Ratio: 1:6-7 - Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (every other weekend) - Orientation: 24 hours - Scrubs: Navy Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing settings - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Compact State (required at start) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required - Experience with Epic charting system preferred - Must pass EKG testing prior to start - Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and remote cardiac monitoring - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and Surgery experience, including sheath removal - Central line and PICC line management - Blood product administration - Cardiac drip titration (Diltiazem, Amiodarone, etc.) - Charge nurse experience and NIHSS certification preferred - First-time travel nurses welcome Travel Nurse Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac patients (congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, post-cardiac cath) - Monitor and manage cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc.) - Perform sheath pulls and manage TR Bands and Femstop devices - Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill set - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, etc.) - Utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication - Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events as assigned - Self-schedule shifts according to unit needs Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
