Schedule Day 4x10-Hour (06:15 - 16:45) Job Description The CVOR Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the cardiovascular operating room setting. The nurse will support a team of healthcare professionals during surgeries and will be responsible for maintaining the sterile field, assisting with equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process. Responsibilities - Perform scrub duties during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. - Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR. - Float to the main OR if necessary due to volume. - Participate in call requirements as scheduled, including every third weekend. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. - 1 year of CVOR experience required only if the candidate has 1 year of main OR experience; otherwise, 1 year of CVOR experience is necessary. - BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. - Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred. - Preferred experience with Trauma Level I cases.
