Job Description:
LifePoint is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a
travel nursing job in Sanford, North Carolina. Job Description &
Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN
Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days
Employment Type: Travel Operating Room RN to join our surgical
services team. This role requires exceptional clinical judgment,
adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety and
surgical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive
nursing care to surgical patients throughout all phases of
perioperative care. Serve as a scrub or circulating nurse in a
variety of surgical procedures. Participate in a rotating on-call
schedule (up to 15 call shifts/month), responding promptly and
effectively to emergency surgical needs. Support team coverage
through float assignments as needed within the hospital. Ensure
compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and
accreditation standards. Maintain accurate, timely documentation
and communication with the surgical team. Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact state
equivalent). Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing
experience. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB. •
EHR: Cerner Demonstrated ability to function effectively in
high-pressure situations and adapt to rapidly changing
environments.
