Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery experience Sheath removal experience Accessing ports and blood product administration Central line and PICC line management Cardiac drip titration for Diltiazem and Amiodarone Description: This position involves working with cardiac patients. You will monitor and administer cardiac drips like Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine. Expect to perform sheath pulls, TR band management, and Femstop procedures. Ratios are 1:6-7. You will be required to float within the hospital based on patient needs. Weekend work of 5-6 shifts is required, approximately every other weekend. Special procedures will include monitoring various cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure and arrhythmias. Contract staff may be expected to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Compliance with testing and interview requirements is mandatory. Vaccinations may be required based on institutional policies.
