Surgical II Unit: We are seeking a registered nurse to join our te
am at New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Surgical II unit. The
Surgical II unit specializes in post-operative care, catering to
patients recovering from procedures such as vascular, spine, and
chest tube surgeries, and those with external fixators and
multi-system traumas. Unlike a typical Medical-Surgical unit,
Surgical II primarily focuses on post-operative care, requiring
specialized knowledge and skills. The team comprises experienced
nurses who are dedicated team players, ensuring thorough patient
care while fostering a supportive environment . Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing Current valid North Carolina Nursing
License or Multi-State/Compact Specialized knowledge and experience
in post-operative care Strong interpersonal skills for fostering a
supportive work environment One-year relevant experience, preferred

has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you
have not been licensed in another state during the last five years,
successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is
required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. To be
considered for current licensure status, you must apply for
reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Responsibilities: Assessing patients' conditions and health needs.
Provide specialized post-operative care to patients Administering
medications and treatments prescribed by physicians. Monitoring and
recording patients' vital signs and medical information.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide
comprehensive patient care. Educating patients and their families
about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.
Foster a supportive environment and teamwork among colleagues.
