We are hiring for the following: Position: Registered Nurse PRN Location: J Reuben Long Detention Center, Conway, SC Pay Rate: $28.19 - $48.25 Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and guidelines, facility policies, MEDIKO protocols, and Nursing standards Coordinate services with other patient care units/areas and provide Nursing services and patient care as appropriate Monitor all off-site referrals and provide case management services Oversee implementation of all physician orders, including medication administration, and document all patient encounters promptly and properly Participate in the screening, evaluation, assessment, and care of patients in intake screening, sick call, clinics, and segregation units Assist Physician and/or PA/Nurse Practitioner during examination and treatment; prepare equipment for such examination, as necessary Oversee and coordinate the work of Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses to ensure an efficient working environment Comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations regarding privacy of patient medical information Maintain working knowledge of emergency procedures in the event of emergency or crisis situations and assist as procedures warrant Adhere to security standards for medications, supplies, and equipment Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, visitors, medical personnel and corrections staff Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Nursing program; BSN degree preferred Active license from South Carolina as Registered Nurse, or from another jurisdiction that is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact Most hold active CPR/BLS prior to start date, and maintain certification throughout employment Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting, emergency room or correctional setting very helpful Please visit our website at www.MEDI KO.com to learn more about opportunities with us!
