Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NH NHRMC) is looking for a highly skilled pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to our Intensive Care Units (ICUs). NH NHRMC is the 9 th largest health-system in North Carolina with 800 + beds and is a level II trauma, teaching community hospital. There are 54 adult intensive care unit beds, encompassing a MICU, CCU, STICU, and CVICU. There is also Women’s and Children’s center with NICU and PICU, an inpatient rehabilitation and psychiatry unit, and an oncology center. At NHRMC, pharmacists work with other healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens using evidence-based medicine and standards of care. The midshift pharmacist will primarily work a 11:00am – 9:30 pm shift, and will provide direct patient care services in our intensive care units and be responsible for daily parenteral nutrition support. This pharmacist will be a part of a consistent team of ICU pharmacists that provide 24/7 coverage to our critically-ill patients. The pharmacist will also provide services that maximize the hospital’s ability to meet national indicators. Other responsibilities include: providing educational in-services, developing policies and/or processes to improve departmental operations and participation in at least one departmental or hospital committee, serve as student and/or resident preceptor. Breakdown of job responsibilities include: direct patient care (60%), order verification/distribution (20%), education (15%), and administration (5%).
