Majority of shifts will be at the main campus but shift can also be scheduled and New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital and Pender Memorial Hospital. Staff are notified 2hrs before the start of the shift. Candidates will float all medical/Surgical floors, PCU's, Cardiac floors, Rehab, BHH, PACU, and our inpatient holding space for ED. Candidates will not float to the ICUs unless taking a stepdown or modified assignment with an ICU RN as primary.Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.NHRMC to Pender-29 milesNHRMC to NHRMC Ortho-5 milesNHRMC Ortho to Pender-27 milesPATIENT DIAGNOSES: Caring for patients across the inpatient spectrum from medical surgical, cardiac, progressive care/step down, and stroke.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: FLOAT POOL UNITSPECIAL EQUIPMENT:UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBARSCHEDULING TYPE: Based on scheduling gapsUNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hoursSCRUBS: NavyINTERVIEW AVAILABILITY:Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting.
