Description Novant Health is hiring a Surgical II registered nurse for the Night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. We are offering up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus as well as up to $7,500 relocation assistance. The Surgical II unit specializes in post-operative care, catering to patients recovering from procedures such as vascular, spine, and chest tube surgeries, and those with external fixators and multi-system traumas. Unlike a typical Medical-Surgical unit, Surgical II primarily focuses on post-operative care, requiring specialized knowledge and skills. The team comprises experienced nurses who are dedicated team players, ensuring thorough patient care while fostering a supportive environment. Job Responsibilities: Assessing patients' conditions and health needs. Provide specialized post-operative care to patients Administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians. Monitoring and recording patients' vital signs and medical information. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Educating patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures. Foster a supportive environment and teamwork among colleagues. Job Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing Current valid North Carolina Nursing License or Multi-State/Compact Specialized knowledge and experience in post-operative care Strong interpersonal skills for fostering a supportive work environment One-year relevant experience, preferred Novant Health is committed to improving the health of its communities, one person at a time.
