We are seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team. Your role will be to work closely with a dental hygienist in treating hygiene patients. Clinical duties include coronal polishing, equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist or hygienist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures. As a member of the Hygiene department, you will work with Dental Hygienists and Dentists and report to our Hygiene Team Leader. What You Will Do: Build and maintain relationships with our patients and staff Become familiar with doctors' restorative treatment philosophies Record periodontal examinations and existing restorations Record clinical notes in the computer Take x-rays and intraoral photos per office protocols Educate patients about their dental health as it relates to overall health and the importance of good oral hygiene, with instructions customized to their situation Sterilize instruments, setting up trays Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance What You Will Bring: Our ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills: X-Ray Certificatioin Coronal Polishing Why You'll Love Us: At Winslett & Walls Dental Excellence, we are more than just a dental office, we are a community of passionate, experienced dental professionals with more than a century of combined experience.
