Interventional Cardiology opening in SCLocated in Conway40m to Myrtle BeachFull-time; permanentSeeking an additional interventional cardiologist due to increased patient need/demand. In 2020 - we were transferring out 140 cases per year non-STEMI and 50-55 CABGs per year. We want to capture more of those interventional cardiology cases.Candidate Parameters: Residency trained in cardiovascular medicine and fellowship trained in interventional cardiology. Must be board certified in interventional cardiology or eligible, if coming out of fellowship.Typical Schedule:Full time position Monday thru Friday4.5 days clinic time with .5-day admin time per week36 patient contact hoursCall: 1:3 STEMI Call and 1:6 Cardiology CallScope of Practice: General and Interventional PracticeConsult service ONLY Hospitalists take care of admissions.The cardiology and oncology department are both affiliated with the Duke Health Network (DNH)2 Cath labs operating at the hospital currently doing 500 cases/yr. Open to someone who would like to start a TAVR program CMC does not currently have one currently in place.No cardio thoracic surgery at CMC South Carolina does not require surgery coverage to do PCIs.Angioplasties (Cabbages) and CT Surgeries go to MUSC or GS-HCA, or McLeodStress tests and echoes are done in the clinic.Averaging these out, we are on pace to perform about 720 procedures a year not counting those procedures performed in the pre and post areas.These numbers do not include TEE's, Cardioversions, Tilt Table Tests or Loop Recorders.We average close to 10 patients referred to open heart every month and 2-3 STEMIs per week.New room has digital subtraction to perform peripherals (mostly leg, arms second)Dr. Sasser vascular surgeon Nuc Med, Echo and Vascular testing on campus Financial Package/Benefits:Base Salary (Typically MGMA Median) Plus WRVU BonusesProduction Bonuses are available based on WRVU Calculated on an annual basis.Contract Length 3 Year TermConway:One of the oldest towns in South Carolina, Conway has all the charm and grace of a historic Southern community.
