  • NC license
  • 1 year of experience
  • Charge nurse experience--preferred--
  • BLS
  • CPI--preferred--
  • Chemotherapy administration certification is preferred
  • UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
  • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
  • Skills: Administer chemo
  • Will accept 1st time travelers
  • Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding. Like units includes floating to inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location

Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.*** INTERNAL NOTES ******Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty***Traveler will be assigned to a Inclement Weather Team.Shifts called out will need to have make up shifts rescheduled.During times of increased census, typical ratios may be higher.
