No OT billed until after 40 hoursRTO: 7 days MAX Float Requirement: as needed to any other Med/Surg units Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: We have a dedicated surgical unit comprised of 12 patient beds. We attempt to place all surgical, ortho, and spine patients on this unit. They at times can overflow on another unit. We have a unit that is dedicated to COVID/PUI. When our numbers are low, any patient can go to this unit. The remainder of our unit is for telemetry/medical. We do not take bipap/cpap/vents on then unit. Those patients would go upstairs. We are a small community hospital so most all surgical and medical patients would come to this unit. UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, SBAR, EPIC, unit huddles and communication books utilized. SCHEDULING TYPE: Self schedule and balanced by leaders but if schedule is already posted, leaders will schedule to fill in gaps. UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours SCRUBS: Navy INTERNAL NOTES MUST Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. (Y/N) Previous staff must be gone for 12 months to return as a traveler to any Novant facility. Please note in the submission packet if your candidate is a previous Novant or New Hanover staff member and the date they left. Rehire approval is needed.We cannot proceed with submission until rehire approval provided. Local Rule - Is your candidate local? Perm address within 50 miles of the facility will be accepted at a different rate and considered local. Please ask AC/AM to advise on the local rate as it varies based on specialty and facility location RTO - 7 days MAX Please confirm your travelers RTO. RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review. If no RTO, please write none If your traveler has 7 days or less of RTO, including no holidays, we can pre-approve their RTO which leads to a faster offer process. If your traveler has 8 or more days of RTO, including a holiday we will need to seek manager approval before we can offer. 7 days MAX is allowed so please work with your traveler to reduce their RTO request. Travelers must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO allowed the first week of assignment (they will be orienting).
