TeamHealth is seeking a board certified internal medicine physician with a strong academic interest to join our team as hospitalist and core faculty at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The position will consist of approximately 26 weeks of inpatient medicine working direction with senior residents (6 weeks) and a traditional internal medicine team of upper level residents, interns and students (20 weeks). Administrative responsibilities include lectures, research/QI, participation in resident mentorship and attendance at faculty and residency program meetings. Mercer University Grand Strand Medical Center Internal Medicine Program has 13 residents per academic year. We also have fellowships in palliative care and endocrinology and are a 3rd year core site for a local medical school hosting 20 medical students each year in addition to numerous 4th year medical students from across the country. The hospital is a 403-bed acute care hospital that serves as a tertiary referral center for the Myrtle Beach area. The ideal candidate should have 3 or more years as faculty and a strong interest in research and quality improvement.Position Highlights:
