Hospice Aide Outpatient to join our group of dedicated and
experienced professionals. This is an outstanding opportunity to
join the largest and most experienced hospice in the area. Lower
Cape Fear LifeCare is certified by Medicare and Medicaid and
approved by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. Each
day, more than 600 patients and their families receive care from
Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in our hospice and palliative programs.
Job DescriptionKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Competently performs a variety of basic patient care activities
under the supervision of the RN to meet the personal needs and
comfort of patients.
- Hospice aide supervision must include following Plan of Care by
participating in IDT, task competency, compliance with infection
control and reporting changes in patient conditions. In addition,
aide must have a competency evaluation by an RN in home every 14
days to evaluate services of aide. The aide does not need to be
present when RN evaluating services.
- Completes a variety of clerical and stocking needs to assist
with optimal department/agency safety and functioning.
- Appropriately documents and communicates all required
information in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Organizes and performs work effectively and efficiently.
- Maintains and adjusts schedule to enhance team
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with
all members of the team.
- Maintains and promotes customer satisfaction.
- Effectively demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of
Lower Cape Fear LifeCare daily. QualificationsMinimum
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Hospice Aide course.
- Current certification with State Board of Nursing, or current
registration with Department of Facilities Service in the State of
North Carolina/South Carolina.
- Minimum of two years experience and at least one year in home
care or by other individuals under general supervision of a
Registered Nurse.Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous HA experience in a hospice, home health, or oncology
preferred.Location-Service Area: Brunswick County
OutpatientEmployment Status: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8a -
