The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting with and
developing, implementing, managing directing the programs and
activities of patient care in accordance with the established
standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy,
goals, and objectives in coordination with their direct supervisor.
This position has the responsibility of staff supervision with
oversight for adolescent services, representing and presenting
collateral and treatment information to physician in treatment
team, social work, therapy services and activities programs and
services for mental health patients hospital-wide.
- Master's degree in psychology, clinical counseling, social
work, Inpatient experience preferred.
- Familiarity with continuum of care. Equivalent level reading,
writing and mathematical skills.
- Legible handwriting. Outstanding oral communication skills.
Assessment and intervention skills. Persuasive manner and skills in
overcoming denial and resistance to treatment.
- Ability to concentrate on task in high traffic areas.
- Familiar with clinical terminology.
- Knowledge of DSM IV. TR diagnostic criteria.
