South Strand ED is looking for a Night shift-PRN LPN to join the family!South Strand ED:14-bed unit providing comprehensive services and board-certified emergency specialist. Our team is highly dedicated and compassionate to our patient and families. We are a fast paced department that always puts our patients first.   What you will do in this role:
  
  
  • Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients as directed by the RN
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
  • Transport patients to various destinations throughout the facility for tests and treatments
  • Manage room turnover: cleaning rooms between ED patients, assist with waiting room flow
  • Initiate IV sites: perform phlebotomy, collect specimens
  • Perform EKG's
  • You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans
    
    
    Minimum Qualifications:
    
    
    • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing
    • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State LPN license
    • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
