The Position Reporting to the EVP Chief Human Resources Officer, the VP Total Rewards will serve as a member of the HR Leadership Team and will provide strategic and operational leadership of global rewards solutions to include executive and broad-based compensation, benefits, recognition and wellness programs for 20,000 employees in 47 countries. Progresses the Total Rewards Center of Excellence (CoE) to enhance PPD's employee value proposition and drive superior business performance. Ensures rewards solutions provide a high quality employee-centric experience and supports PPD's culture and talent strategy to attract, motivate and retain top talent. Specific Responsibilities* Progresses the Total Rewards Center of Excellence through strategy, design and consulting and builds a high performing Total Rewards team.* Oversees the design, development, implementation and administration of global rewards plans, policies and programs that drive engagement and focus on overall employee wellbeing for a differentiated employee experience.* Influences the design and investment in PPD's total rewards portfolio to enhance our employee value proposition and drive superior business performance. Focuses on connecting various components of the employee value proposition into a single view, enabling employees to understand and appreciate the value of their rewards package and positions PPD to be viewed as the employer of choice.* Partners across HR with CoE leaders and other key stakeholders to identify total rewards opportunities to deliver a consumer grade employee experience through education, tools, branding and communications. Keeps a laser focus on our compensation and benefits programs and how to leverage them to enhance the employee experience.* Leverages data analytics, insights and industry practices to enable PPD to gain a competitive talent advantage.* Serves as a thought leader and strategic total rewards partner providing consultative guidance to executive business leaders.* Increases competitive and market intelligence through the utilization of leading edge data and predictive analytics tools aimed at total rewards optimization, innovation and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications and Experience* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline required* 15 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards (executive and broad-based compensation, benefits, recognition and wellness) to include 10 years of management experience leading a Total Rewards function in a company with a strong global footprint* Executive compensation experience to include equity program design and direct interaction with the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors* In depth knowledge of global health, retirement and welfare plan design and practices including Europe, Asia and Latin America compensation and benefit programs* Successful track record of implementing high-impact Total Rewards solutions in a complex organization undergoing transformation Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated executive presence* Solid business intelligence and acumen with ability to convert innovative strategies into business growth* Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to present ideas at the senior level and gain executive buy-in and alignment around key priorities* Comprehensive knowledge of Total Rewards concepts including regulatory compliance (HIPAA, ERISA, IRS and SOX regulations, etc.)* Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand complex financial analyses and financial/operational levers that drive the business* Successful track record of driving performance and superior business results* Demonstrated ability to facilitate multiple projects simultaneously delivering at a high-level under tight timeline constraints* Exceeds at building/maintaining relationships across disciplines internally and externally* Skilled at coaching and building high performing teams and establishes a climate of trust PPD is an affirmative action employer that values diversity as a strength and fosters an environment of mutual respect.
