Purpose:

To provide clinical and administrative leadership within the clinical department and the Wilmington Health organization. This position may support the following departments: Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Pain, and/or Urology.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accountability for financial management of all assigned clinical areas to include:
  • Development of annual operating and capital budgets
  • Monthly analysis of financial statements and
  • Development of action plans to ensure operation within established budgetary parameters
    • Maintains responsibility for planning and decision making for all clinical areas to include:
    • Space planning
    • Budget planning
    • Staffing planning
    • Quality improvement planning and
    • Project planning
    • Metrics
      • Maintains patient confidentiality ensure measures are implemented throughout the clinic to maintain confidentiality
      • Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow up/intervention
      • Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely as needed
      • Develops patient education materials, triage protocols and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians
      • Uses computer system efficiently and accurately
      • Collaborates and builds working knowledge related to: Infection Control, OSHA, (local, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies), HIPPA
      • Provides patient/staff education along with employee development and Retention planning
      • Patient advocacy and implements and monitors effective patient satisfaction plan
      • Provides patient/staff education
      • Maintains effective communication and interacts appropriately, effectively and professionally with all members of health care team
      • Utilizes strong critical thinking and communication skills
      • Evaluates employee performance and coaches and monitors effective patient satisfaction plan
      • Participates in Interviewing, hiring, and terminations of staff
      • Organizes and participates in monthly department meetings and staff meetings
      • Operates under a Continuous Quality Improvement Model and incorporates LEAN and Process Improvement into everyday workflow
      • Ensures clinic is actively working to support the Mission and Vision and Pillars of Wilmington Health Other Duties:
        • Performs other duties and projects as assigned QUALIFICATIONS

          Required:
          • Bachelor's degree in a related field Preferred:
            • Master's degree in related field
