Republic Airways, opportunity elevated. #WhyRepublic Summary This position will organize and oversee the daily operations of LIFT Academy, Myrtle Beach. You will lead LIFT Academy associates and students in providing industry-leading safety, quality, and technology in flight training, all while identifying new opportunities to grow and develop LIFT Academy and providing greater access to aviation careers with a special emphasis on diversity and inclusion. Additionally, you will be the one to ensure that our back-office operations are well-coordinated and productive by managing the procedures and ensuring our process and partnership with our corporate operations are aligned. You will lead the business function to increased enrollment and profitability. Responsibilities

  • Directs academy leaders and associates to ensure flight and maintenance training programs meet and exceed expectations regarding quality, service, and timeline.
  • Oversee the management and delivery of the business operations
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership for the business and operational side of LIFT.
  • Manage productivity and quality standards in accordance LIFT Academy standards and requirements.
  • Participates in and responds to requests to establish, develop or re-visit guidelines, policies and/or procedures as they pertain to both business and flight operations.
  • Implement and maintain operational processes and procedures; prepare reports on performance and potential improvements for operations.
  • Act as key liaison with centralized corporate functions at Republic to ensure Financial, HR, and Legal processes are followed.
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Plan and coordinate activities with departmental managers and supervisors to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
  • Acts as Incident/Event Manager during irregular business operations, and central point of contact for all Academy related operational and business decisions.
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
  • Ensures that academy meets or exceeds all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Requirements/Skills
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in related field preferred
    • Airman Certificate: Commercial pilot, dispatch, or A&P (or comparable military experience) preferred
    • 10+ years related experience
    • 10+ years of managerial/supervisory experience
    • Proven leadership skills in flight training or air carrier operations, quality control, maintenance, safety or a combination.
    • Proven experience in Financial and/or Operational Management or equivalent position
    • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, HR)
    • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
    • Knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines
    • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
    • Outstanding communication and people skills
    • Ability to take ownership, prioritize and quickly change direction in a fast-paced environment LANGUAGE SKILLS
      Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
      Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proven project management and analytical skills. Ability to handle numerous projects at one time and meet deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in support of the Safety Department. DECISION MAKING Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.
