JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are vital links between an idea for a new

patientsActs as a subject matter expert for Peri- and Post-Approval
Studies (PPAS) offerings related to interventional and
non-interventional studies through professional, consultative,
proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision
influencers at key major pharmaceutical clients. Works hand-in-hand
with PPD's biopharma business development leads to position the
company as a primary or preferred provider for all PPAS work to be
outsourced. Partners with customers to evaluate portfolio-level
business needs and develops customized, enterprise-wide PPAS
solutions. Collaborates closely with PPAS leadership to define
selling methodologies aligned with strategic priorities for
interventional and non-interventional studies, then implements
these methodologies within the current commercial framework.
Proactively incorporates PPAS into the overall biopharma strategic
account strategies and supports prospective positioning of PPAS.
Coordinates PPAS sales efforts with all other business units.
Essential Functions and Other Job Information:
- Works cohesively with PPD biopharma business development leads
to help form the strategy to win new PPAS business, grow existing
PPAS business, and form meaningful PPAS partnerships.
- Partners with PPAS leadership to set strategic priorities,
targets accounts for interventional and non-interventional studies
work, and creates and implements prospective selling strategies
with the business development leads.
- Leads coaching, development, and mentoring of business
development team across the company on PPAS offerings and
positioning in the market.
- Broad expertise or unique knowledge specifically in PPAS
offerings within the CRO space and uses skills to contribute to
development of company objectives and principles and to achieve
goals in creative and effective ways.
- Gathers data on marketing trends and competitive
products/services, and pricing to guide the PPAS commercial
strategy. Continually tests the company's position against these
competitive offerings to fine tune our go-to-market strategies for
PPAS and leverage this intel alongside the PPAS leadership team to
further refine our offerings.
- Acts independently, and with Business Development leads, to
determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May
supervise the activities of others.
- Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and
evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Monitoring of PPAS opportunities via SalesForce dashboards and
initiating any follow up and/or collaboration with the main BD rep
to ensure PPD's PPAS are well position and to support deal
close.
- Serves as consultant and spokesperson for PPAS on highly
significant matters relating to win strategy, contractual
mechanisms, relationshipJob QualificationQualifications:Education
and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal
academic / vocational qualification.Previous experience that
provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
(comparable to 15+ years'). Years of experience refers to typical
years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge,
skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions
of the job. Years of experience are not to be used as the only
determining factor in establishing the job class or making

- Subject matter expert level knowledge of PPAS (interventional
and non-interventional)
- Proven ability to create and implement clear, effective sales
strategy around PPAS
- Strong business acumen and executive presence
- Ability to build rapport quickly and develop cross-functional
internal relationships and client relationships with ease
- Proven ability to partner with Business Development and other
internal colleagues to co-build a strategy to win and grow PPAS
business
- Proven track record of developing mid- and high- level business
contacts
- Expert ability to manage and fully integrate with Business
Development, Operations, Finance, and Marketing, and follow-up to
expand relationships and business opportunities
- Good computer skills to handle sales automation systems, word

Conditions and Environment:
- Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to
electrical office equipment.
- Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both
domestic and international. Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make
fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and
wrists.
- Frequent mobility required.
- Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper
body and neck.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves)
objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift
of 15-20 lbs.
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software
developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will
understand; with the ability to listen to and understand
information and ideas presented through spoken words and
sentences.
- Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate
information to diverse groups.
- Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or
