Housing Custodial & Facilities Technician
Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for the following
position: Housing Custodial & Facilities Technician in University
Housing.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:* Performing general
grounds and trades work including painting, power washing,
landscaping, and window screen repair;* Operating articulating boom
lift;* Planning, coordinating, and completing summer moving
objectives, while directly supervising student staff workers;*
Utilizing established protocols to address mold, bed bugs, fleas,
scabies, influenza, pin worms, lice, vandalism, and other
infestations, illnesses, and hazards;* Removing trash and
recyclables from designated areas;* Providing exceptional customer
service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty,
staff, students, venders, visitors and the community at large
utilizing positive communication skills and established protocols;*
Assisting with cleaning/turn-over of bed spaces, private and
community bathrooms, and common areas between all student
departures/arrivals, during summer turnover, and between
conferences and orientations;* Cleaning all surfaces and items in
assigned areas;* Collaborating with contracted workers, confirming
successful completion and documentation of work;* Maintaining
flooring in designated areas;* Maintaining equipment and reporting
maintenance and supply needs;* Stocking and maintaining supplies
carts and closets with consistency;* Promoting and using best
safety practices; and* Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and at
least one (1) year of custodial, grounds, and/or maintenance
experience is required. Must have a valid driver's license.

Building/Grounds Specialist III (KA15/61122956/FTE-S00752P),
full-time position with benefits.
Salary range: $23,885.00 (minimum) to $34,042.00 (midpoint). Normal
work hours are 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday,
7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday. Must meet the special scheduling
needs of the University. Must be able to work overtime; before
start of shift, at end of shift, weekends, etc.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of custodial,
grounds, and/or maintenance experience.

Required Licensure and/or Certification
Must have a valid state driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to deal courteously with the public and students. Ability
to work independently and supervise student employees. Knowledge of
operation and use of equipment and tools used in the care and
cleaning of buildings. Knowledge of custodial services practices,
techniques, and procedures preferred. Ability to communicate
effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Ability to
inventory, order and maintain supplies as needed.
