Job Description We are seeking experienced mechanical piping technicians for Pamlico County! \n \n Pay: $20-$40 per hour based on experience level \n Work Type: Full time \n Benefits: \n \n 40 hours per week \n Medical, Dental, Vision plans \n Free Basic Life Insurance. \n Short- and Long-Term Disability \n 401k \n Company Cellphone \n Paid Holidays \n Paid Time off \n \n \n Job Responsibilities: \n \n Fusion welding for HPDE piping \n Connecting heat pump coils \n Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications \n Coordinates with other trades for pipe routing \n Cuts pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine. \n Threads pipe using threading machine. \n Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine. \n Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe. \n Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools. \n Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools. \n Installs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meter, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping. \n Tests piping systems for leaks by using hydrostatic and pneumatic methods. \n Welds pipe supports to structural steel members. \n Loads, transports, and unloads material, tools, equipment, and supplies. \n Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures \n Performs other duties as required. \n \n Skills: \n \n Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety \n Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers \n Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines \n Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and status \n Math as required for piping angles \n Ability to lift 50lbs \n \n \n Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: \n \n Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical systems \n Welding certifications GMAW/MIG, GMAW/TIG, SMAW preferred \n Extensive knowledge of codes \n Experience piping with cooling towers, chillers, boilers, large roof top equipment, air handlers etc \n Experience with hydronic and refrigeration piping processes \n Experience with VRF systems \n \n TA Woods LLC. is a Commercial HVAC/Plumbing Commercial Design/Build, Construction, and Service company located in Wilmington, NC.
