Description of Work

This position is the highest level of administrative support for
the Director of Nursing and statewide Nursing Leadership in the
Department of Adult Correction. This position is allocated tasks
that require attention to detail and accuracy. This position is
responsible for maintaining a high level of knowledge of major
projects and workflow of Comprehensive Health Services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the
following:
About the Dept. of Adult Correction:
Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody, and
supervision of all adults sentenced after conviction for violating
North Carolina laws. This department includes State Prisons,
Correction Enterprises, Community Supervision, and Reentry Programs
& Services.
About the Comprehensive Health Services Division:
The mission of Comprehensive Health Services is to provide internal
and external customers served by the Dept. of Adult Correction with
access to quality, cost-effective healthcare rendered by competent
healthcare professionals. This Division seeks to improve the health
status of inmates, provide care consistent with community
standards, and ensure that invested tax dollars produce the best
value.

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the

Administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
diploma two AND years of related administrative experience
OR
