Employer is a consulting firm that specializes in providing managing accounting and finance departments for businesses from $1-$50 million in revenue. We work very closely with our clients to make sure they have all of the financial and accounting information they need to be successful. So what do we do for our clients? Well, first and foremost we build accounting departments from the ground up. We clean up the books, institute internal controls, train the current staff, develop custom reporting, hold strategy sessions with the owners and much, much more. And we do all of it for about half of what a full time controller would cost. What about culture? Well, ours emphasizes growth, both personally and professionally. Our clients are always challenging us with new opportunities to help them, so we need to constantly learn and evolve in order to serve them. What we do for our clients has real world ramifications for real world people, and we take that responsibility seriously. As for ourselves, well we take ourselves slightly less seriously...Now that you know what we do, here s what we re looking for:You should be a natural born problem solver. The thought of taking on a new challenge should excite you, not frighten you. You must be looking to be a part of something bigger than yourself, not simply a \"job\". You must possess excellent communication skills, and not just with clients but with coworkers. You must not be afraid to admit when you need help, because you will definitely need help at times. Finally, you must be comfortable in your own skin, and not have to be a different person in the office than you are out of the office. As for prerequisites, having a CPA license is a big plus but is not a requirement. Having prior experience in management accounting is required, ideally 2-5 years in industry or 3 plus years in a public firm. Tax knowledge and client point of contact experience are big pluses as well. Customer service skills are mandatory, as is the willingness to learn and grow. Having a good sense of humor and an ability to connect with other accounting types is the biggest plus, and an absolute requirement. We realize that the only way to continue to grow is to hire the best people and give them the tools they need to do the best job possible. We are not a traditional consulting firm, and we aren t necessarily looking for a traditional candidate. Check out our website at www.gocap3.com for more info on what we do and how we do it. If you like what you see, please forward your resume and cover letter. Please, no direct emails or phone calls, these responses won't be considered. Thanks, and have a great day!Required experience:* Accounting : 3 years
